KOCHI, India – Honduras was eliminated from the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup after a 3-0 loss to Brazil in the Round of 16 on Wednesday at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium.

The South American champion, which will next face Germany on Sunday, got a pair of goals from Brenner and another from Marcos Antonio.

Brenner opened the scoring in the 11th minute, finishing from two-yards off a wonderful sequence of passing and moving that saw Alan deliver the decisive pass.

Luis Palma nearly leveled for the CONCACAF side in the 32nd minute, only for his driven right-footed shot from six yards to crash off the right post.

Brazil went up 2-0 in the 44th minute through Marcos Antonio’s neatly slotted left-footer, while Brenner completed the scoreline by swooping in from seven-yards.

Honduras’ Carlos Mejia nearly curled in a consolation goal, but his left-footed effort from 30 yards hit off the left post.
